Experience My India's 2 Days Ayodhya Varanasi Tour Package joins the two cities at the heart of a north Indian pilgrimage - the Ayodhya of Lord Ram and the Kashi of Lord Shiva - into one seamless two-day yatra. Day 1 is Ayodhya: darshan of Ram Lalla at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, Hanuman Garhi's 76 steps, Kanak Bhawan and the Saryu Ghats, closing with the evening Saryu Aarti at Ram ki Paidi before the drive to Varanasi for the night. Day 2 is Varanasi: a sunrise boat on the Ganga past the ancient ghats, darshan at Kashi Vishwanath and Annapurna through the corridor, an afternoon at Sarnath where the Buddha gave his first sermon, and the grand evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat. The two cities sit about 210 km apart, and the single moving part that makes this work is the transfer - which is exactly what a private AC cab, local guides in both Ayodhya and Kashi, and a plan built around each temple's timings are for. Day 1 - Ayodhya: Ram Lalla, the Ghats and the Saryu Aarti. The first day belongs to Ayodhya - the darshan, the ghats and the evening aarti - before the drive east to Kashi. We work the day around the Ram Mandir's morning session and midday closure.
Our representative meets you at Ayodhya Dham Junction or the airport and the guided day begins straight away, timed to reach Ram Lalla before the temple's midday closure.
Practical note
Tell us your arrival time; the earlier you reach Ayodhya, the calmer the morning darshan window.
We take Hanuman's blessing at Hanuman Garhi's 76 steps as tradition asks, then darshan of Ram Lalla at the Ram Mandir, consecrated on 22 January 2024, in the calm 7:00-11:30 AM window.
Practical note
Phones, cameras and leather are not allowed inside the Ram Mandir - deposit them at the free lockers first. General darshan is free; we book the official Sugam Darshan e-pass. A paalki is available at Hanuman Garhi's base.
Through the midday temple closure we break for a vegetarian lunch, then visit Kanak Bhawan, the Golden Palace gifted to Sita, and walk the Saryu Ghats at Ram ki Paidi.
Practical note
Kanak Bhawan stays open midday, so the closure never costs you a stop.
We close Ayodhya with the evening Saryu Aarti at Ram ki Paidi - lamps, chanting and the river at dusk - and then begin the drive to Varanasi.
Practical note
The aarti is seasonal (about 5:45 PM in winter, 6:45-7:00 PM in summer). Varanasi is about 210 km / 4-5 hours away, so this is a night drive - you reach your hotel late, around 11 PM to midnight, and we keep Day 2's start flexible.
A night's rest near the ghats, ready for the Ganga at dawn.
Day 2 - Varanasi: Ganga Sunrise, Kashi Vishwanath and the Ganga Aarti. The second day is Kashi from dawn to dusk - the river at first light, the Jyotirlinga, Sarnath and the grand Ganga Aarti to close.
We reach the ghats for a sunrise boat on the Ganga, gliding past the bathing pilgrims and the old palaces as the light turns gold. After a late arrival the night before, we keep this gentle and flexible.
Practical note
The sunrise slot costs more than a midday boat, so we fix the rate before boarding; morning light on the ghats holds well past dawn if you would rather start a little later.
Through the Vishwanath Corridor, opened in December 2021, we reach the Jyotirlinga of Lord Vishwanath and, beside it, Annapurna Devi, the goddess who feeds Kashi.
Practical note
Phones, cameras, leather and bags are not allowed inside - deposit them at the free cloakroom near the corridor gates (allow 15-25 minutes). General darshan is free; we book the official Sugam Darshan e-pass, and modest dress is required at the gate.
About 10 km north lies Sarnath, where the Buddha gave his first sermon. We explore the 43-metre Dhamek Stupa, the ruins of the ancient monasteries, and the Archaeological Museum with the original Lion Capital of Ashoka - India's national emblem.
Practical note
The Dhamek Stupa and ruins are open daily, but the Sarnath Archaeological Museum is closed on Fridays - if you travel on a Friday we reorder the afternoon.
The tour closes with the grand Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat - fire, conch and chant offered to the river - watched from a good step or from a boat. After the aarti we transfer you for your onward journey.
Practical note
The aarti is seasonal (about 5:45 PM in winter, 6:45-7:00 PM in summer). Tell us your departure train or flight and we time the drop; plan a late-evening departure so the aarti is not rushed.

Everything you need to know about your pilgrimage with Experience My India.
The package includes a private AC cab for both days and the Ayodhya-to-Varanasi transfer, one night in a Varanasi hotel, local guides in both Ayodhya and Kashi, a sunrise Ganga boat ride, seating for both the Saryu Aarti and the Ganga Aarti, breakfast and meals, and darshan assistance with Sugam Darshan e-pass help at Ram Mandir and Kashi Vishwanath. Flights, trains and temple fees are not included. WhatsApp Experience My India at +91-7302265809 for exact inclusions.
The 2 Days Ayodhya Varanasi Tour Package is priced per person and depends on your hotel category, group size and pickup point, with a lower rate for larger groups. Experience My India shares the exact per-person figure on WhatsApp rather than a fixed sticker price. Message +91-7302265809 with your dates and number of travellers and we reply within 30 minutes.
Day 1 is Ayodhya - Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, Hanuman Garhi, Kanak Bhawan and Ram ki Paidi, closing with the Saryu Aarti, then the drive to Varanasi for the night. Day 2 is Varanasi - a sunrise Ganga boat, Kashi Vishwanath and Annapurna, a Sarnath excursion, and the evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh before departure. Experience My India adjusts it to your arrival and departure.
It is a full two days across two cities with a night drive between them, so it suits those comfortable with some travel. Experience My India keeps the AC cab close, gives both aartis and the sunrise from a boat, and keeps the Varanasi hotel near the ghats. Hanuman Garhi's 76 steps have a paalki. For a gentler pace, ask about our 3-day version. WhatsApp +91-7302265809.
Around 70% of Ram Mandir and Kashi Vishwanath pilgrims come from South India, and this two-city yatra is one of our most requested. Arrive into Ayodhya (train or the airport) and depart from Varanasi, and Experience My India plans everything in between. WhatsApp +91-7302265809 with your city and dates; we book both Sugam Darshan passes and reply within 30 minutes.
General darshan is free at both. A Sugam Darshan e-pass speeds each queue - booked on the official srjbtkshetra.org for Ayodhya and shrikashivishwanath.org for Kashi - and Experience My India books both for you. There is no other legitimate VIP entry. Phones, cameras and leather are banned inside both temples; deposit them at the free lockers or cloakroom before the security check.
By private AC cab. The two cities are about 210-220 km apart, roughly a 4-5 hour drive via NH-31 and NH-56 through Sultanpur and Jaunpur. On this tour the transfer runs on Day 1 evening, after the Saryu Aarti, so you reach your Varanasi hotel late at night. Experience My India keeps Day 2's early start flexible so you are rested for the ghats.
Experience My India keeps cancellation flexible. Since the hotel, both Sugam Darshan passes and the boat slots are date-specific, we ask for firm dates, and cancellations made with reasonable advance notice are accommodated. If your plans change, message us early. WhatsApp +91-7302265809 to confirm the terms for your dates before you book.
Yes. Experience My India can reverse the direction (Varanasi first), add a night in either city for a gentler pace, or extend the trip to include Prayagraj and the Triveni Sangam. If you want the Kashi sunrise boat unhurried, we suggest the 3-day version. WhatsApp +91-7302265809 and we shape the two cities around your dates.
Booking takes one message. WhatsApp Experience My India at +91-7302265809 with your travel dates, group size and your Ayodhya arrival and Varanasi departure details. We reply within 30 minutes with the price, confirm your hotel and cab, and book both Sugam Darshan passes. No advance payment is taken until your plan is confirmed in writing.

What travel guides don't tell you before you arrive.
A two-city yatra in two days is entirely doable, and it turns on three facts that most listings gloss over: the drive between the cities, and the two temple closures that bracket your darshan.
Start with the transfer. Ayodhya and Varanasi are about 210-220 km apart - roughly a 4-5 hour drive via NH-31 and NH-56 through Sultanpur and Jaunpur. On this itinerary the drive falls on Day 1 evening, after the Saryu Aarti, which means you reach your Varanasi hotel late, somewhere between 11 PM and midnight. That is the honest shape of the day, and it is why Experience My India uses a comfortable AC cab, builds in a rest stop, and keeps Day 2's sunrise boat flexible rather than forcing a 5:30 AM start on four hours of sleep. If a night drive doesn't suit you, the 3-day version adds a night and removes the rush.
Then the two midday closures. The Ram Mandir closes for its Bhog and rest from about 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM; Kashi Vishwanath restricts darshan around its own midday Bhog aarti and runs hours-long general queues on Mondays, in Sawan and at Mahashivratri. Miss the morning window at either and you lose the day. So we reach Ram Lalla in Ayodhya before 11:30 on Day 1, and Kashi Vishwanath in the calmer late morning on Day 2, and we use the closed hours for lunch, Kanak Bhawan in Ayodhya and Sarnath in Varanasi.
Two last honest points that apply in both cities. General darshan is completely free at both the Ram Mandir and Kashi Vishwanath - a Sugam Darshan e-pass (Ayodhya on srjbtkshetra.org, Kashi on shrikashivishwanath.org, about Rs 250-300) only speeds the queue, and anyone selling 'VIP darshan' for cash at either gate is a tout. And phones are banned inside both temples, at the free lockers in Ayodhya and the free cloakroom in Kashi. Get the drive, the two windows and the two passes right, and a trip that looks impossibly packed on paper unfolds calmly, city to city.
This tour gives you something few pilgrimages do: two of India's great river aartis, on two different rivers, in two nights - and they could not feel more different.
The Saryu Aarti at Ram ki Paidi on the first evening is Ram's river, and it feels like Ayodhya - newer, brighter, unmistakably joyful. The town is still finding its feet as a place the whole country is rushing to, and the aarti carries that fresh, almost disbelieving devotion: families who never thought they would stand here, the lamps lifting over the Saryu, the crowd young and openly moved. It is a beginning.
The Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh on the second evening is Shiva's river, and it feels like Kashi - older than memory, denser, heavier with the weight of everyone who has ever come to this ghat to live, to pray and to die. The ritual is vast and precise, the flames enormous, the chanting rolling off the black water, and just upstream the fires of Manikarnika never stop. Where the Saryu felt like a beginning, the Ganga feels like the whole cycle at once.
Guests tell us, again and again, that seeing both inside forty-eight hours is what makes this tour more than the sum of its stops - Ram's Ayodhya and Shiva's Kashi, the fresh river and the eternal one, held side by side. Rajeev Sharma and the Experience My India team seat you early at both, on the side with the clearest view, so each aarti is yours to receive rather than fight through. Jai Shri Ram at the Saryu, Har Har Mahadev at the Ganga - and, for most, a quiet that stays long after the lamps go dark.
Day 1 insider tip: the evening Saryu Aarti and the night transfer are the two things a two-city tour has to get right. Experience My India seats you early for the aarti, then drives you through to Varanasi with a rest stop, so Day 2 starts fresh rather than frantic.
Senior citizen note: this is two cities and a night drive in two days. For elderly guests we keep the AC cab close, give both aartis and the sunrise from a boat rather than the crowded steps, and keep the Varanasi hotel near the ghats. If a night transfer sounds tiring, our 3-day Ayodhya Varanasi tour adds a second night and a calmer pace.
Pro tip: Our local guides know these nuances intimately. They navigate crowds, time the darshan, handle protocols and share the stories textbooks miss.

The practical details that make the difference on the day.
This is a point-to-point tour - pickup in Ayodhya, drop in Varanasi - so book your arrival into Ayodhya and your departure out of Varanasi.
Day 1 ends with a 210-220 km / 4-5 hour night drive to Varanasi after the Saryu Aarti, reaching your hotel around 11 PM to midnight - Experience My India keeps Day 2's sunrise boat flexible so you are rested.
Both the Ram Mandir and Kashi Vishwanath close or restrict darshan midday - we reach each in its calm morning session and use the closed hours for lunch, Kanak Bhawan and Sarnath.
General darshan is free at both temples - a Sugam Darshan e-pass (Ayodhya on srjbtkshetra.org, Kashi on shrikashivishwanath.org, about Rs 250-300) only speeds the queue; anyone selling 'VIP darshan' at either gate is a tout.
Phones, cameras and leather are not allowed inside either Ram Mandir or Kashi Vishwanath - use the free lockers in Ayodhya and the free cloakroom in Kashi (allow 15-25 minutes).
Hanuman Garhi is 76 steps with a paalki at the base; Kashi Vishwanath has a dress code (shoulders and knees covered) enforced at the gate.
Both aartis are seasonal - about 5:45 PM in winter and 6:45-7:00 PM in summer - and we seat you roughly 45 minutes early at each.
Sarnath is about 10 km from Varanasi; the Dhamek Stupa and ruins are open daily, but the Sarnath Archaeological Museum is closed on Fridays.
